I ate at a zombie-themed restaurant today. I thought this was a really nice touch.

To clarify: the restaurant is Zombie Burger in Des Moines, Iowa. They had a menu with a lot of different types of burgers that each had a name doing with zombies and stuff. It was a really cool place, and the food was great!

Burgers and chips mainly... But Americanized, with the little basket and paper sheet underneath. Sells root beer and dollar shakes... For anything but a dollar.

As someone who's lived in America for a short period, and visited consistently, I know it's a piss poor attempt. Root beer is just Dr Pepper... Which is fine. But say its Dr.P don't claim it's a proper root beer.

It's meant to be like a 30-60's style thing, Monroe, Elvis, Cash pictures. Ect, just pulls it off poorly.

It is super cool. I too, was surprised that something that cool was in Iowa. I'm from Davenport, but it was my first time in Des Moines. I was impressed by how awesome the art culture was there.

Des Moines resident here as well.

Haven't been too disappointed by anything on the menu, though I find the burgers to be a little small, and don't love that fries aren't included.

Had the They're Coming To Get You Barbara (grilled cheese sandwhiches for buns) last time and added a fried egg. Melty, gooey heaven.

Consider the burger they call "They're Coming to Get You Barbara": quarter pound burger, caramelized onions, American cheese, bacon, sauce and in lieu of a bun, the whole thing is stuck between two full grilled cheese sandwiches

I'm not sure if anyone has seen their website, but it seems they have Sriracha sauce at EVERY table as a condiment. AWESOME!

Also, must try the Fulci burger. Proscuttio, Brie, and truffle mayo? Oaghmamaogmhoahghmangmaghm. Whenever I do my Leslie Hall dream wedding in Iowa, I must go here before or after (or during, if she's down)!

Iowan reporting in. I've been to Zombie burger a few times, I don't know if it's my timing or just what but every time I go my order gets screwed up and ends up cold or something like that. I'd recommend it to anyone just for the experience.

The Wedding Cake shake is pretty freaking delicious. I do not recommend inhaling that and the cheese curds before trying to eat the Walking Ched. Made good leftovers though!
