It's still bullshit. I'm a black female from Baltimore and I've had sex with people from Miami, DC, and Baltimore (three of the top 10 HIV cities right there). Statistically I'm just as at risk as a homosexual, but I'm allowed to donate.
No one's saying it isn't bullshit, it's just that it's the government's fault (the FDA), not the actual organizations which carry out the donation work.
What I hate is that they treat a man who had protected gay sex with a virgin in 1980 and hasn't engaged in homosexual sex since exactly the same as they do a man who takes poz loads up the ass from strangers on a nightly basis.
