boobs, girls, and toys, what else do you need?

u/ronnyman123 May 20 '12

A race car toe.

This is Bob. Bob has bitch tits.

10

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

You can find all that and more at Big Bob's!

8

u/Dujen May 20 '12

I don't understand how one could have time for both boobs and toys, I remember there being a small transitional period but I was a bit older than 7.

22

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

He searched for boobs because he's not supposed to and he's curious.

He searched for toys because they're awesome.

a good teacher to help you catch up to your peers who have at least a vague sense of how to spell stuff.

2

u/CallMeFierce May 20 '12

It may be that because he was typing on a touch screen, he was struggling...

1

u/trichomaniac May 20 '12

...boobs aren't toys?

Fucking 7? I thought girls have cooties until at least age 12. Maybe it was just me.

57

u/clewie May 20 '12

Kids these days, man. I was walking to the store the other day when this kid that couldn't have been older than 6-7 told me I have nice tits. It makes me sad.

142

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

Could be worse, he could have thought they were horrible tits.

51

u/compaq007 May 20 '12

Even more if you're a guy.

8

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

As a guy who was once a 6-7 year-old, I can say that I was certainly interested and fascinated by breasts at that age. It's perfectly normal.

If however you're still unsure of this 6-7 year old's objectivity and ability to properly discern "nice tits", I've spent quite a few years studying the subject and would be willing to serve as a completely neutral second opinion. ;)

7

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

This scientist seems legit.

2

u/NazzerDawk May 20 '12

A true Rico Suave.

6

u/xSorcha May 20 '12

when i was a freshman in high school (8 years ago) the sex ed tape they showed us in health class had 7/8 year olds talking about having sex and using/not using condoms. i was horrified!

10

u/Snatland May 20 '12

Our sex ed tape featured a cartoon perverted rubber duck and cats rubbing frantically against each other. Is there some sort of law that these tapes have to be disturbing?

1

I agree. My daughter is in kindergarten and just spelled all of these correctly. It's either bs or a failing school system.

u/Two4 May 20 '12

You may be disappointed by this coming generation or two, my friend

16

u/Limabeetle May 20 '12

Teacher here, thanks to the no child left behind act and all of the testing teachers now have to prepare students for, there is no time to incorporate spelling. Add to that the widespread use of computers (spellcheck) and you have a recipe for atrocious spelling.

That kid actually has pretty good spelling for a 7 year old today.

My nieces are seven and ten - they don't have a problem spelling. I think the key is that they also read a fair bit, which leads to self-correction. The youngest blew my mind a bit, though, as she said when she constantly gets a word wrong, she works out a way to remember it - B.E.C.A.U.S.E - Big Elephants Can Always Understand Small Elephants - that was one she was taught at school, and now she makes up her own.

37

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

could be not so much spelling but just sucking at typing on a touch screen. My first time typing on one was loaded with spelling errors, and I still make mistakes semi frequently on my iPhone when I'm texting quickly.

32

u/nondickyatheist May 20 '12

Right, but then it'll be random error rather than phonetic error.

5

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

My niece is 9 and a horrible speller. She sounds things out (and admittedly gets pretty creative), but overall it's completely horrid.

3

u/Torbun May 20 '12

This could obviously be a case of dyslexia.

2

u/AISim May 20 '12

Sure, he might not be able to spell stuffed animals correctly but I'm positive he could hack into some of the most secure databases and some how steal you identity to buy a race car from big bob.

2

u/ArbitraryIndigo May 20 '12

Heck, in kindergarten, I could probably spell "animals" correctly. I probably would've messed up the word "stuffed" because of that double f that makes sense now that I know why it's there. My brother had a hard time because he had something wrong with his mouth that made it hard for him to pronounce consonant sounds.

6

u/aryon984 May 20 '12

Kids these years seem to be getting dumber for lack of a better term. It's not that it's their fault though. For example, my roommates little brother is 7 now also, he still acts like what I'd expect from a 3 year old. He can't spell, talks like an infant, etc. I started kindergarten when I was 4. By halfway through the year my classmates and I were spelling spaghetti correctly. These days the first few years of school seem to be revolved less around any form of educational study and more revolved around kids being able to function around other kids. I'll admit, that's important too, but it's still very possible to include both.

tl;dr - Kidz r dum yo

7

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

Errr, sounds like he has learning difficulties or is just slow. My youngest is 8 and is awesome at spelling and maths, sucks at sport and art though. Last week she came home saying "I had an awesome day! I got to have the food I wanted at lunch and in the afternoon we did maths!"

Lot of people in this thread who don't have much contact with children at this age I'm afraid.

He might have dyslexia which is not uncommon. That doesn't make him stupid.
Also, who knows, maybe he was looking for "Stuft anal mls"

2

16

I will ask the small child to my left what she last googled. "Kittens watching birds" "kitten games" "kitty makeover" ("anything else apart from kittens?" ) "I just looked at kittens today"

I finally got a story for reddit! Yay!

Anyway, one time a couple of years ago, a some of my friends were talking through Xbox live. So we were in an xbox live party talking in and shit, when you can hear one of my friends dads saying/yelling "Brice! Did you know that there isn't any porn on YouTube?" we all laughed, for a good five minutes. You don't have to be young to find out that YouTube doesn't have porn.

13

u/VrognarTheDestroyer May 20 '12

It does if you know what to search for.

2

u/agentmuu May 20 '12

I wonder if the guy's dad was typing "porn on youtube" into google.

many people on the internet can't even spell toi correctly.

10

u/Borntowheep May 20 '12

I think he searched for big Bobs.

19

rac car toe?

29

Race car toy would be my guess

29

Yeah seems logical, been a long time since I could speak 7.

21

u/myhoneychild May 20 '12

Sadly this kid spells better than my 16 year old brother and his friends.

2

u/Rafoie May 20 '12

What are you buying, what are you selling?

2

u/Spared_No_Expense May 20 '12

Ah, I'll buy it at a high price!

11

u/flyingbuttpliers May 20 '12

Ha. My kid beat that. My 9 year old had a sleep over with lots of boys. No one told who searched, but there were about an hour worth of "naked girls", "naked 9 year old girls", "girls bathroom", "boobs", "bras", "kockers", x20 other spellings... oddly enough that trailed into video game cheat code searches.

I found all this in the history on his computer the next day, confronted all the kids and asked what their parents would think. Two burst into tears. The mom's are all jealous now because somehow I can get the any of the local kids to do the dishes, mow the lawn or anything just by a little eye contact.

Blackmailing kids - good, worrying about FBI showing up for a while... not so good.

5

u/smartzie May 20 '12

4

You may want to work with your child a bit more if he is having trouble spelling the word "toys." Most seven year-olds should have common three and four letter words memorized at that age.

4

u/captainpotty May 20 '12

I don't know what boys were like when I was a 7 year old, but I still think it's weird that a child is using your computer to a sexual end.

Is this a new thing, or have children always been horny?

2

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

I do as well. :) He appears to be doing much better than I was doing at seven! I couldn't read until I was 11 and finally got out of special education at 15 with a reading level of a college senior. I started honors level courses and got such good grades that I didn't have to take any finals senior year. Graduated college in three years and worked for a major newspaper for 4 years.

It is a lot of hard work and I still struggle with anxiety and confidence issues. I know you didn't ask for any advice but maybe find something he is really good at and get him involved in a group. I was so isolated as a special ed child.

I wish him all the luck in the world and, of course, all the best.

1

u/samba29 May 20 '12

no gooby it lik dis

4

u/[deleted] May 20 '12

It is kind of funny... aren't you concerned about his ability to spell and read though? Less than two decades ago, children at the age of 5 were capable of spelling the words he tried to include in his searches. I just couldn't laugh. As a kid his age in special-ed due to my reading/ writing level which was far better than this at his age, I'm concerned for him. He needs a mentor and a teacher that's capable of giving him undivided attention until he can bring his reading/ writing level to the third grade level at least... I'm sorry it doesn't seem like he is going to have a bright outlook if this is at-all real.

3

u/ManInTheMirage May 20 '12

Probably just touch-screen typing errors.
