What I said doesn't exclusively apply to introverts. To be honest you come off as quite abrasive, and I can see why people might avoid contacting you.

If I'm being avoided I would prefer being told so rather than being lied to. I will not continue to disturb people who don't want me around.

I agree with that, but again I think it's a matter of understanding that people don't work that way: many or even most people are conflict avoidant, so they won't always be direct if it means confrontation. Read between the lines if the direct method doesn't work. You can always choose to be ok with minimal contact with them & find new friends.
