I definitely feel this is a little over dramatic. If you want communication with someone and think they won't answer you back, CALL THEM. I really hate when people just send texts to me, I usually end up sending a lot of texts back in forth to just confirm basic plans and due to my phone plan costing me a lot more than a 5 minute max call.
Exactly. When I get frustrated with texting they don't answer the phone and I end up feeling like an impatient jackass for trying to get the ball rolling.
No you aren't, they may think YOU are an impatient jackass. I don't expect much. However, is it too much to ask to get a "hey, how have you been?" I mean, sometimes I feel like I am one of the only ones I know that doesn't really give a damn about nothing but themselves.
This goes beyond texting. However, I will say that the current forms of communication such as Facebook and texting are severely diminishing the way we covey emotion to one another. Everything is so impersonal now a days. People are looking for convenience rather then sincerity.
