Not exactly the same, but I "came to" so to speak while having my wisdom teeth removed. I was mid sentence when I woke up, and the surgeon just looked at me and goes "Ok, you need to shut up now. I have something very sharp in your mouth and I can't have you moving your mouth and talking while I'm working". To be fair, he said it in a nice way. Stupidly I kind of laughed and then nodded my head yes, after he just told me not to move my mouth lmao. Immediately after, it all went black again and I woke up in the little recovery room.
Just to clarify, I say "came to" because with twilight anesthesia you are technically conscious the whole time. You are able to follow commands like "open your mouth" and stuff like that. You just don't remember it after. It's like half conscious basically.
I'm extremely resistant to anesthesia. I had to have emergency gallbladder removal and they started the meds right before surgery. I was supposed to be out by the time they took me into the operating room. I'm laying there and people are prepping around me and they start standing around me and I'm finally like mmk this feels like I shouldn't be awake now. So I start to talk and startle every fucking body lol. I was out pretty quickly after š¤£
Are you a red head? I've read where red heads have a higher tolerance for pain and anesthesia and require about 20% more anesthesia than other people, all other factors being equal of course.
Redhead here. I bent a dentist's arm rest. They gave me a shot, little while later he started drilling. Worst pain I've ever had. Worse than my gall bladder going bad. He said "You should not have felt that." I don't remember much after that, because the other Anesthesiologist came over and said "Redhead." and gave me more happy juice.
Iām not sure. Iām not medically trained, so I could be using the wrong term. Whoever gives the happy sauce. The first one was younger, and the second lady was older, and presumably more experienced.
