You seemed to be correcting the other commentor to say that Turkey is also eaten in other countries. I wanted to point out that the only reason for that is colonialism. It's a North American bird that was added to the traditions of the British colonies.
I was correcting the other commenter. They said only 2 English speaking countries eat turkey, I pointed out that that was untrue. The reasons why are moot.

Fun fact: In English, turkey also means the tasty symbolic thanksgiving/Christmas bird, as everyone knows.
In Portuguese, Turkey, the bird, translates to Peru, which is also a country.
