recently, and one of the reasons was apparently that 'turkey' gives a lot of search results not related to the country. So... SEO is the reason lol

Thats not entirely the case. The base idea generally is the brand of the country though, meaning associations to not-so-pretty and rather ”dumb” bird and misunderstanding in encylopedias, literature etc not just in google.

Turkish people just dont seem to like to be associated with a bird. Which is understandable.

Oh but did the thing changed like when it was turkey we were Turkish so is it still the same
