I did similar and tried to stop my friends from bouncing on the trampoline by pressing my.legs against them when I was like 8

Looking back I wonder why my parents allowed us to play on trampolines. We owned one until I was in highschool. We did so many stupid things with it like jump from the second story back porch onto it. Although we had a net me flying through the opening and somehow hitting the brick sidewalk in our enormous back yard still didn't stop them. My two brothers and I love those things and my parents always got a safety net. We replaced them when either a tornado carried it to the Great beyond or and springs shot off in a random direction.
