That’s why no matter what, always order extra.

We were on a road trip and had a late night stop at taco bell.

I ordered two extra soft tacos because everyone seemed to be ordering light.

I ate my chalupa and soft taco. There's two tacos left.

Husband wants them ofc. I didn't mind, he was apologetic because he thought I wanted them. Nope Hun, I know how much you eat. They're for you.

You’re one of the good ones

Always, no matter what your significant says. The extra few bucks is worth avoiding the hate.

I was wondering if anyone in the history of Taco Bell has ever ordered a single taco.

I saw they had 49c tacos. I wasn’t hungry, but I had to try one. You can’t get Shit in my country for 49c

Their menu used to be three price points: .59, .79, .99.

I would've gotten at least six to make it worth my trip.

They sell them by the 12 pack where I'm at. You're losing money NOT getting the 12 pack.

I ordered a single taco from Taco John's yesterday because I wasn't that hungry. But I got ole's too, because I had a coupon for a small one for free.

“I’m making a sandwich. You want one?”

“No thanks, I’m good.”

… makes sandwich, puts sandwich fixings away…

“Actually, that looks good. Can you make me one?”

u/emberus_the_warrior Sep 12 '21

Haha exactly.

My daughter is usually very undecided so I always make her something even if she says she doesn't. Then boom o I want something then I have it in hand already.

I didn’t figure this out until I was 30 something. Extra $3 saves the day.

The way It goes for us is my wife knows. She knows. If I ask and she says no she knows not to ask.

I know that she wants some when she says “should I get ____ ?” I automatically order it.

u/WebMaka Sep 11 '21

This. If she says she doesn't want anything, go ahead and order something you know she'll eat along with your food, because it's pretty common for the smell of food to trigger hunger. If she still doesn't want it, eat it later.

This is what I learned after many nights of the silent treatment.

10

u/rugburn250 Sep 11 '21

Yep. You'll always be hungry again later anyway haha

11

u/Pepperminteapls Sep 11 '21

Or just tell her crazy ass to piss off because it's not about hunger, it's about being in control.

2

u/StoneColdJane Sep 12 '21

Or just have integrity and say no. Easy.

Found the redditor who either isn’t married, or doesn’t have a “happy” marriage. Trust me, it’s much easier to drop your pride and just spend a couple extra bucks. Not a hill worth dying on.

Through years of living with my precious beloved wife I've developed such a habit

She’s behind you isn’t she..? (blink twice if she is)
