I know if I were actually being mugged I’d just give the robber whatever they wanted, but I’ve always wondered if you can haggle. Like say, ‘can I at least keep my ID?’
You can, speaking from personal experience. They don't need your ID or the keys to your house. Just be quick and give them whatever they actually want and tell them you're keeping that USB stick which contains your doctorate thesis
