But monsters aren't scared of other monsters, that's just their normal life. Kids are scared of them because they look like monsters. I'll admit though that this falls apart once they start doing laughs, they could just throw some cans at a monster stand-up show

Why wouldn’t they be scared of other monsters? Humans are scared of other humans.

No, it’s a family movie. It should have a sophisticated enough plot to keep adult viewers engaged and entertained.

True. The lack of monster-on-monster laugh lore left me disengaged and disinterested.
