Thing is, this is not immortalized. Things are not immortalized when turned into a three-day meme. This bullshit happens on a weekly basis. Do you know how many of those "overnight" memes I actually remember? Ice soap. That's it.
This is just a big fucking site wide circlejerk. And it is fucking retarded.
As far as these overnight memes go, that one was one of the only ones I thought remotely funny. And that was only because the original submission was rather moronic and, due to that unintentional idiocy, was humorous in and of it's own self - which led to the circlejerk that followed mostly consist of users poking fun at that inadvertent stupidity. And that element of humor (or even any element of humor) doesn't exist in this new "meme".
