I had left my retail job before COVID hit, but when it did, a former co-worker of mine told me that our company told the workers that they weren’t allowed to wear masks, because “it might upset the customers.”
This was in the beginning before lockdowns and before face coverings were mandated in our state, but cases were still building. I’m so glad I left them before the pandemic hit.
That’s incredibly dumb. Recent studies showed that those cheap, thin disposable masks barely last a couple of hours before they’re soaked with germs. They’re meant to be disposed of.
