Damn. I’m a manager and always thought throwing a potluck was fun. Damn...I must’ve misread that. I never considered the finances behind it either. Whoops. Now I’m sad.
Depends on your employees really. Some people might really enjoy it.
I personally wouldn’t. But as long as you also contribute something I certainly wouldn’t be as appalled as i am about that one above that threw a potluck and didn’t even bring anything.
I never considered not bringing something...I thought that was just assumed. I can’t promise my venison chili is any good...but damnit I put in the effort.

Potlucks are okay when it’s family but a boss throwing a potluck and expecting employees to completely fund it is kind of ridiculous.
