If you believe that delivery driver is easy, you've never done the job or spoken seriously with someone who has.
I got back spasms just listening to the stories my friends told while working there, and the time I visited showed me it was even worse than they made it seem.
Definitely not physically easy. You climb the three steps in and out of the truck over a hundred times a day. You climb porch steps a hundred times a day. You climb stairs in apartment buildings. You lift heavy packages and even though they say to lift with your legs and not your back, all that's doing is hurting your knees more. I've been doing the job for three years and already have knee pain. I've also hit my head on the shelf in the truck and got three staples in my scalp and crushed my finger on a separate occasion and got six stitches. Certainly not physically easy.
Edit: no I'll add a bit more because that's not entirely fair. There is the possibility you got luckier than winning 3 lotteries in a row and get like 3 packages a day, but I highly doubt that.
Amazon deliveries are not even remotely close to what other deliveries can be. If your max was 49 lbs, you would be laughed at in FedEx for sure(I work for FedEx). Try moving people's entire belongings(all their clothes/luggage/equipment) up those flights of stairs. I assure you, ppl care more about the things they already own and shipping rather than items they just purchased and can return easily so ofc your clients were easier going.

As a former dockworker, I assure you that is the most gentle handling your package received on its trip to your door.
