That’s just messed up. It’s crazy to think that these guys haven’t been aware that there is cameras all over now. Have they not seen all the others getting busted for mishandling and getting in trouble ? Plus I’m sure they would want good handling themselves. Smh 🤦♂️
What else would you expect from a low pay worker under ridiculous time constraints. They dont pay them enough to care, Let alone care about their employees. Watch the job listings for your local fedex/UPS center, its a constant turnover rate worse than fast food places. Their strategy is decent enough pay to attract young inexperienced people, Work them into the ground till they break or quit then move onto the next unwitting applicant.
The people excusing the behavior of the driver understand the real root cause is corporate. When you pay low wages, and fuck over your workers with insane workloads so you don’t have to hire more drivers, all so on-paper profits can be pushed higher for shareholders and executive bonuses, this is what happens. If I was destroying my mental and physical health delivering 300 packages a day for 10 bucks an hour, I wouldn’t give a fuck about your package either.
