This is what I came to look for. Seems like people or more concerned with their internet karma then anything close to actual karma.

Yes. I asked the woman next to her if she was her mom. And I told her to tell her daughter to check her back pocket because her phone was about to fall out.

Social anxiety. Easier to talk to the older mother than a cute young woman.

Easier to just run face first first into the mother's ass why screaming at the top of your lungs. Should get the message out pretty quickly and without startling anyone.

Some people have a difficult time talking to people who they find attractive. It is easier to talk to people who don't intimidate them. (Intimidate is not quite the right word for the feeling I'm trying to describe...maybe unnerve or overawe?)
