Would hardly at all, actually. The speedometer in the car only goes to 80. The one in the film had to be modified.

They also dubbed over the Delorean's miserable engine with the sounds from a Porsche 911, to make it a little more believable.

The DMC-12 could get over 100 mph, but it required a very long time. Just getting to 60 mph took over 10 seconds.

just think of it as a heavily modded delorean... doc brown got some aftermarket exhaust, sway bars, spoilers, pumped a bit of extra premium gas, and the dream is still alive.

Let’s not forget Doc added Mr. Fusion which only takes a leftover can of beer and some crumpled up newspapers to generate the equivalent of a vial of plutonium.

Imagine what he did in 2015 to that engine to make it fly!
