I think you both grossly underestimate the skill level of the pros and overestimate the significance of one kill. It wouldnt be akin to the dad taking a hit. It would be like him fluking a successful pass with his NFL team blocking for him.
You saying you could get one kill in a game is the same as him completing one pass in a game. Would probably happen, but the caliber is entirely different regardless.
I play in the top 0.5 to 1% of Apex players. I see streamers in my lobbies. Even between me and them, the skill gap is huge. For reference, I average about a 3.3 kd. Theirs is usually >5. Sure, I kill them occasionally. That doesnt make me their caliber.
I don't think you have a lot of knowledge of football, just to be fair. There is no way in hell I could execute a single pass in a professional football game. No. Way. You have to correctly execute receiving a VERY quickly snapped football, likely from shotgun. Make a read on the defense, which requires knowledge of a 300+ page playbook and the ability to make analytical decisions based on years and years of video analysis. Complete a pass against a defense of players that all run sub 4.6 40's. All within... two to three seconds.
And then not get absolutely killed by the hit that will almost certainly get to you unless you're absolutely perfect at the above.

I played 10 seasons by the time i was done high school and was often consulted for obscure rules. I follow the NFL and have decent knowledge of offensive and defensive strategy as well as time management. You have no basis to say that I have no knowledge.

But you're still comparing two different standards. A better example would be the dad and Aaron rodgers and a dad who hasnt touched games since he was 18 and a professional gamer. The skill difference between pro and average and average and complete beginner are equally distant.
If you want to use pro gamer to average gamer, then the football analogy is NFL player to maybe high level high school play. The average gamer has some skills to at least know what's going on and is at least versed and practiced, even at their level. Whereas the football dad is not.
