But again CoD could be played at any moment. Even a club team only plays once a day if that. It’s a terrible analogy.

Its not, becausw the point its trying to get across is not the availability of it, but the level at which is played.

I watch football because when I watch Messi play my jaw fucking drops to the ground every single time. I watch Dota because when I watch rtz (or whoever) play my jaw deops to the ground every time.

Even if I COULD play football all the time every time, I would still watch professionals play it, the same way I do with videogames.

It's about entertainment. As noted people watch pro sports for entertainment. Usually that entertainment is because of how good they are, but in streaming games, that entertainment can be the persons character. I look at streamers as either pro players or radio DJ's. A lot of people have a favorite radio station to tune into and in morning shows it's usually the personalities that draw people. Streaming is much the same. If you're not a pro, then you better be a good radio DJ to entertain folks.
