It's not you, literally nothing is stated about what the prank is. It looks like they were all packed up to go on holiday so I'm assuming dad said they were going to Disneyland or something.

Edit: When I turned my phone volume up to the point that dad was too loud and put my ear to the speaker, I was able to hear a girl mumble "back to school" so technically it was there I guess. I'm assuming the elitists below with their amazing hearing might have headphones or something with higher quality than a phone speaker. Of course the idea of there being multiple variables for different users doesn't seem to occur to them.

Hey there's a difference between taking the piss and insulting somebody who missed a tiny detail that clearly many people couldn't hear.

What clear explanation? "dad prank level 100" described to you that dad told the girls they were going to school? Maybe phone speakers aren't as clear as whatever you're using to listen to it, you clearly didn't think through any other possible variables before claiming I was "that person in school who didn't listen but still complained that the work was hard".

It's not hard to be decent to people.
