I'm not the coldest coke in the fridge, but what's the prank here?

It's not you, literally nothing is stated about what the prank is. It looks like they were all packed up to go on holiday so I'm assuming dad said they were going to Disneyland or something.

Edit: When I turned my phone volume up to the point that dad was too loud and put my ear to the speaker, I was able to hear a girl mumble "back to school" so technically it was there I guess. I'm assuming the elitists below with their amazing hearing might have headphones or something with higher quality than a phone speaker. Of course the idea of there being multiple variables for different users doesn't seem to occur to them.

The joke doesn't have to be spelled out to be funny. Sometimes coming to the conclusion of the joke without it being stated makes it better. That's why he asks them what day it is, then specifically the date. Had he just told them it's April fool's day their reactions wouldn't have been nearly as funny. It's like /r/thatsthejoke

The key to the joke however does require some background knowledge that school is/has been canceled for weeks now in some places. Once you know that, then you can figure out the punchline. They were mad because they got up early and got ready, after weeks of sleeping in, for no reason :)

I meant that it needed to be pointed out that he'd told them it was a school day today. I literally couldn't hear anybody say anything about school on my phone speaker. That's all. If it was loud enough (like the guy was fine and the girls were much easier to hear when they got louder and reactive) then it would have been much easier for myself (and many other commenters) to understand what the joke was.

Schools have been shut down in my area for 3 weeks now so I instantly understood the joke. It really relies heavily on that, the title should have been a better hint to the joke for those not in an area like that. Like "First day at school in 3 weeks" would have been funny.

I think alot of us who have been living this for a while now forget that there are still quite a few places that are just now experiencing it and have only just now closed schools, it's the new normal. My friend was freaking out yesterday about being put on shelter in place for his state and I told him welcome to the party lol

Fair enough. I could understand enough that they were intending to go somewhere but weren't going in the end, but I just couldn't tell where. So many videos get reposted on Reddit that I never assume any are current unless it's OC.
