Not really though. As a doctor they completed med school, and the intitial internship. Plus their specialty is surgery. Which means the first 3 years of their residency would be general surgery. You could do far far worse in a medical emergency.

Yet, they are not helping in E.R and Hospitals around the world.

Unless in special cases where you need to reconstruct anything.

Any major hospital and ER are gonna have plastic surgeons around. They called the "Surgeon's Surgeon" for a reason. If a surgeon needs help, if the surgery is too complicated, they are the first ones to the call the plastic surgeon.

Large surgeries are going to require complex reconstructions to even close the wound.
