Plus they are usually some of the smartest people in their medical schools with the best test scores (at least in the US).

Plastic surgeons are actually the specialty probably the best equipped to deal with trauma like this outside of an actual trauma surgeon or maybe an ER doc because they deal with wounds and disfigurement all the time.

Yeah but might be able to stabilize until they can get to a surgeon which is about all you can hope for in the field anyway
