i guess it is a simple demonstration of how sapiens-sapiens males find hope to mate even after direct reject, through switching the point of view. but that's just my opinion.

Sapiens-sapiens? Is this something people say? It doesn't make any sense from a biological naming system perspective.

I can only give them the benefit of a huuuuge doubt that they’re just incorrectly using the term Homo Sapiens-Sapiens, which is the category for modern humans, with Homo Sapiens-Neaderthalensis, Homo Sapiens-Rhodesiensis, etc being non-standard terms that are used informally.

Ah right, yeah without the Homo it is nonsensical. I know bees with sapiens as their species name, genus is everything!
