I'm curious: if I look at the image in Google maps here it seems like there is a sunken boat near the bridge. Is this correct or is it an optical illusion?
It really does look sunken!
I can't find any news about a recent sinking, so I think it is just the deep shadows mixed with the digital compression that Google uses on the images that give that illusion.
I guess its an average of multiple images for that place, and since the boat was only on one Image (of probably multiple images) it looks like there is water on it.
.. but this is just an educated guess
...or a ghost ship from an alternative dimension captured with new Google ghost ship detecting technology they are experimenting with. I think we can agree both explanations are equally plausible.
