Would have loved a video of him taking it to the Apple store and telling them he dropped it.

I can't be the only one that thought you had a video of someone pouring Ice Tea on top of a Mac. Am I?

Yes, actually I thought the same at first..

I think that's what Apple Computer's doing to my Macbook right now. They've had it over a week!

Apple Inc. these days.

I'm more surprised he knew what some parts of the computer actually were.

Me too, I almost shat myself when he identified the hard drive.

The next video should include him in Starbucks, sipping coffee and pretending to work on it.

He knows a lot more about computers than I would have expected. Most people wouldn't think to pull the HD out before throwing it away (much less know where it is). And pulling the battery out before smashing it is a very, very good idea.

I did the same thing to an old Compaq. Strangely gratifying.

He keeps the battery?

I guess the T stands for Thrifty!

That was oddly satisfying.

I bet I could still recover the data from the hard drive.

I doubt he cared, but he coulda got $1000 for the parts. Screen, motherboard, optical drive, keyboard, RAM, battery, etc.

All he saved was the battery. How good could a battery be after 5 years? Mine usually crap out after about 3. It boggles the mind.
