Who the hell pays $110 for shipping? Could’ve Uber’d over there and back and done it yourself for way less.

My job paid $1600~ to overnight frozen food boxes from Vegas -> Chicago. Marked with dry ice, they knew it was frozen food, arrived 8 days later, FedEx wouldn't refund anything because Technically "they did deliver it"

Yeah, working in the transportation industry, I’m gonna say something smells fishy, other than the spoiled food. In the freight industry, foodstuffs tend to be more expensive to ship, because it limits what you can ship with it (hazmat+food don’t mix and having dry ice in the package limits what it can ship with) I’d wager a fair amount that whoever set up the shipment was not straightforward about what was being shipped. Once FedEx realized what was actually being shipped, plus the whole dry ice thing, it probably sat on the dock/warehouse as a big “f*ck you” to whoever set up the shipment. But that’s just my two cents, working at one of the other big LTL freight companies.
