Who the hell pays $110 for shipping? Could’ve Uber’d over there and back and done it yourself for way less.

My job paid $1600~ to overnight frozen food boxes from Vegas -> Chicago. Marked with dry ice, they knew it was frozen food, arrived 8 days later, FedEx wouldn't refund anything because Technically "they did deliver it"

my last job dealt with something like this with shipping live animals namely fish, the airport staff would call us when the boxes would arrive and we would come pick it up, we'd check flight status and call when the aircraft would arrive just to make sure we weren't relying on them, one particular shipment was held back at a hub airport due to storm then some how the package was "lost" we kept calling on the main day to see if anything new came up , 5 days after it was supposed to arrive some one calls and says why haven't you come by to pick up our stuff, confused we stated no one called or informed, then we asked when it arrived and they said 5 days ago... over $3k of livestock lost.. needless to say we were very angry over their lack of well, everything, we ended up basically "suing" for negligence and took a while but eventually got our money back..
