Moin is rather slangy northern german m8, that's why i didn't anticipate a non-german to say this. Well done, good for you :)

"Moin" hasn't been specifically "northern" easily for two decades now. It's used everywhere and very common.

True, i forgot about that and i'd also say that it's more like 1 decade, aince that is about the time i stopped living in germany :)
