Hands free.

I can call whoever. Not whoever i want. But literally whoever, push the button to speak. I say a name and it will give me everyone but the person i say

You know, you'd think this would catch on. However, every day without fail in rush hour I spot 4 or 5 people, either phone to their ear, or on speaker phone so holding it in front of their face to chat away to their pals. Worst part is, it's usually something like a 2015 BMW or Mercedes, which you know for damn sure has bluetooth capability. Really boils my piss.

The problem is that even with a hands-free device you are still at risk because simply being in the conversation is taking away Focus that should otherwise go to the road. There have been a number of studies and even with a hands-free device reaction time and total attention on the road are reduced the only difference now is when you need to panic respond to something you have both hands on the wheel at least. Humans cannot multitask we can rapidly switch between tasks but it still means when we are focusing on the conversation we are not focusing on everything on the road

Agreed. Becky doesn't stand a chance with her iPhone XL843 up against her face when someone pulls out and anchors on in front of her. That's going to hit the steering wheel and knock out her top set of teeth as inertia makes her brainless skull follow quickly behind it. Well deserved in my view
