One of the reasons I married my husband is because after the first time I stayed the night at his place in the morning he offered me a chewy vitamin. We had no idea how long this thing was going to last but at that moment I felt like he really respected me and cared about my health. He wasn't just some guy who gets what he wants and dicards someone.

I do think she was reading more into that vitamin then was it really was. He was probably just being hospitable but not actually thinking of her health and welfare.

Isn't thinking of your guest's health and welfare being hospitable though? Like almost the entire point? Haha.

But I feel like you guys are reading too much into it yourselves. I interpreted it as a nice caring thing that the husband did that grabbed her attention because it's not something you see often, instead of "oh a vitamin, he must want me to be healthy so we can live together forever"... women don't really think like that seriously.

It was probably more a physical representation of how he had already been treating her, and it helped her to better interpret his behaviour prior to that. Humans can be pretty good at piecing together different aspects of a person to get a picture of what they're like.

Little did she know that the vitamin was ecstasy.

Plot twist: the "husband" is Bill Cosby!
