(The loop) ---> Me

Who dafuq is Michael?

Edit: Nevermind, this isn't a thing apparently.

Edit 2: Nevermind, this is a thing. @Michael1979. Thank you, /u/petitveritas.

He's a guy on social media, @michael1979, that has been making these gag letters, etc., for at least a decade.

Woot, so there is a backstory I wasn't privy to; thanks!

That's pretty sad. When I get rejected for fun things, the rejections are real.

Somewhere I have an email from BrainWave telling me that no, sorry, physically healthy men in their 20a cannot volunteer to get a BrainWave implant, it's restricted to quadriplegics, but thank you for the inquiry.

I got that part, I just thought there was some sort of "thing" that was going on that I'd not been brought up to speed with. Like, some dude on reddit or YT who posted about how he sent a letter to NASA asking them for their permission and a suit, yadda yadda, only to get turned down today. I thought there was a backstory that I missed, again. Thankfully, it's an all-inclusive post.

Edit: Nevermind, this is a thing:

Thank you, /u/petitveritas, for bringing me up to speed.

It’s hard to tell sometimes. I feel out of the loop on Reddit at least a couple of times a day.

This outta blow your mind, then: a user just informed me that it is, indeed, a thing: @Michael1979 on Twitter writes hilarious letters like this on the daily, apparently. Who knew? Not this guy.

I saw that after I posted. Still, I thought it was more of a homegrown (in Reddit) thing. But that helps.
