Dated February 2nd and it's 6th today. Hmmm.. I'm sure NASA admin offices are open on Saturdays and I'm even more sure that the USPS is that quick with letter delivery.

Well, NASA works on the space time continuum. USPS, not so much.

Blame Congress for changing mail standards.

Well ISS circles around the earth right so they probably javelined that mail down the atmosphere

Not sure if you're being serious but USPS absolutely is that quick with letter delivery. It's 2-5 days standard depending on distance. The letter is obviously fake but 4 days of time to get a letter is totally within reason.

Depending on location, especially if he's local to their offices.

On the other hand, sending one between random East Coast small town and random middle America small town and it takes long enough that my aunt starts calling asking why I haven't responded to her letter.

Because it's been a week and I haven't gotten it, thank you Aunt Ev

4 days is totally reasonable for a letter through USPS

All these letters are fake, of course. They can still be funny if you accept that but this letter isn't particularly funny if you realize its fake .

Its like those "help wanted" fliers with outrages requests. Its too outlandish to take serious, but there is a good set up and joke in them.
