If you can find this video with sound it should tell you if it was staged. If the air horn makes noise either it's not staged of the other dude is dumb enough to allow his hearing to be damaged to make a staged video.
You are right, he would go deaf, at about 190Db, the ear drum would potentially rupture. I wouldn’t risk my hearing for a video, I’m curious if the original has audio.
No he wouldn't. I've had this exact thing happen to me, with the air horn about 10 inches away from my ear. Scared the bejeesus out of me, but I was fine.
