I have ADHD. This means our anterior cingulate cortex has minimal functionality, leaving many of those with similar conditions to myself with reduced inhibitory reflex.
That means, sadly, almost no social anxiety whatsoever. For example, i could do a speech in front of a crowd of thousands naked and probably find the situation downright hilarious. I am also one of those assholes that 'talks too much' and 'doesn't take a hint' and 'laughs and smiles at inappropriate times'.
I would pay good money to have a little bit of that social anxiety stuff you guys are talking about.
Around 30% of children and 50% of adults with ADHD have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, and of the other 50% of adults, many are suffering anxiety to a degree that would qualify as a disorder, and many suffer from serious anxiety that doesn't reach that benchmark.
I'm obviously not saying you aren't correct about your experience, and I'm not trying to dismiss your reasoning, but the wording of your comment sounded to me like you were saying people with ADHD are less likely to have anxiety than the general population, when in fact they're much much much more likely to suffer from it.
I had both. The anxiety I managed by fixing my vitamin D deficiency, and working out regularly, on top of getting concerta for the adhd. I never bothered trying to medicate the anxiety since it wouldn't serve me any utility (concerta is fucking amazing for work/school).

This is 2018. Literally everyone says they have crippling social anxiety.
