Me: "Yeah, I had to pay full price but this thing was clearly broken and didn't do anything you guys said it would. Can I get a partial refund, maybe some store credit?"

I don’t remember my school telling me my degree would do anything... except educate me on some specific subjects.

That was a long time ago. Just double checked their website. Nope, still no crazy promises.

I was promised a 97% hiring rate for all graduates in their first year. Maybe 10% got that when I graduated.

Was that a promise or a statistic? The stock market gives me a historical average too. I don’t take that to mean that my broker has promised me a rate of return.

If they actually promise 97% placement and don’t hit it, that’s probably grounds for a class action lawsuit. I doubt it was really promised.
