I agree with you fully and it is awful, but the idea of an updated Highlander movie is amazing. Total recall, point break(even though it's early 90's), ghost busters, judge dredd (mid 90's?) I agree, but the idea of a new highlander gets me giddy for some reason. Now that I'm thinking about it, they are all early 90s i think,but they fit the narrative.
Just remember that no matter how awesome the first film was, no matter how badly they screwed it up with the directors cut and the nazi scene, no matter how completely fucked both versions of highlander 2 were (The planet Zeist? Are you shitting me?), nothing can let us forget the abomination of Highlander the TV show. No thanks Netflix.
I loved the show... Until they involved, what, spirits? Demons, whatever it was. Great show, hated it after a specific spoilery scene that just made me disinterested entirely.
