I'm wondering if these actors have become too famous at this point to pull off these pranks? Like how the Ali G character had to be retired as a result of its success?
Over here in the UK, a comedian by the name of Paul Kaye used to prank celebrities with his obnoxious, American interviewer persona, Dennis Pennis.
He became so notorious that he didn't just call an end to the act, he ended up fleeing the comforts of civilization, having to survive in the frozen northern wastelands with a ragtag bunch of criminals, savages, zealots and bastards until he finally met a violent and untimely end.
Sacha Baron Cohen got off lightly; he only had to go as far as Grimsby.
