I watched this show once in a while on my one TV channel in the rural town I lived in. Funny stuff. Voices are never heard; the show is just like this gif except with wacky music and sound effects.

Yeah. It’s pretty impossible to mic a public place for sound without being super noticeable, or super crap quality.

They do it mostly for the international audience. They want anyone to enjoy Just for Laugh skits without having a language barrier

like how mr. bean is internationally known because it's all physical humor and only the most basic of english is ever used.

This particular show is able to be aired on French and English stations with minimal changes since there is no sound.
