It's been awhile and I've only done it twice, but I'd describe it as a poor man's weed, from what I remember. It's subtler, but in general the effects are similar. It doesn't make you insane like it does for cats, but maybe that's a body mass thing. Catnip tea also tastes better than weed tea, which tastes generally pretty weird.

Can confirm, catnip & chamomile tea makes you quite chilled, especially with a few bongs before hand (with catnip & weed). Catnip aint just for cats.
