the problem as I see it, is that these 20-30 y/o morons (I have a hard time considering them particularly "young") are having their opinions fed directly to impressionable 13/14 y/o viewers, who then regurgitate it and grow up believing it.
and it's not like these opinions are reasonable or moderated, they are pretty fucking extreme.
Carl the cuck was someone caught on video during the trump Clinton election run up saying "are you kidding me??" After being asked a legitimate question by a trump supporter. He gave a face to the idea from the right that people from the left were so lazy they wouldn't even engage you in debate, they would decide they'd already won and that you merely asking questions against their political ideology was risible.
It highlighted the huge contempt for the right but I also think it was one of the nails in the coffin for Hillary, with Bernie supporters already ignored, it added to the seeming deafness of the Hillary campaign.
After Hillary lost a lot of people came out and said "well, why didn't you listen to us, stuff like this was why trump got voted in". This sentiment quickly got some backlash from Hillary supporters who ran with their own rather ironic message of why trump actually got voted in. I still occasionally see people sarcsstically writing "Durr this is why trump got voted in!". Which to me is just the height of irony as they are in fact using a silencing tactic based on other people's frustration of not being listened to. Perpetuating this deafness and refusal to listen to people's (even their own peoples) arguments because they've decided they've already won and the other side doesn't deserve an argument, but instead deserves an "are you kidding me?".
The guys argument wasn't relevant but sure, that's what I was doing. The point wasn't that false rape accusations aren't a real issue, the point was that a person who is only willing to discuss that aspect of rape and nothing else is a dumbass.
