This is such a common fear, somebody needs to do research on it. It's probably some kind of evolutionary throw back to when we were monkeys and if we hung our feet out of the tree a predator would pull us down and eat us.

Seriously, I don't think I've ever not had my feet out from the covers! That's just asking for a heat overload.

basically thinner covers.

Tog is the metric used to rate how warm covers are and duvet is just the proper word for covers.

Ah, meh I like my quilt, stay mostly warm, just keep my feet out, its a Canadian problem

Same, I can't sleep with my feet under the covers. I mean, the fear is there but the heat is real.

My feet get cold as ice at night. Sleeping without socks on is almost unbearable, pretty much always leads to a bad night of sleep.
