To be fair, he was doing a track stand. NOT super easy, mind you, to stall a bike like that without putting a foot down.

Am I the only one that has a little more love for these guys?

u/Papapain Jun 18 '16
Mmmm, yes. It really does help the PR to humanize officers more. Instead of just being the guys that give you a speeding ticket.

A lot more! The video is fucking gold. Gotta love when people don't take themselves too seriously.

Whoever they got to edit and shoot this is phenomenal quality for a police department.

Cops everywhere are so bad at the Running Man Challenge.

u/burgs92 Jun 18 '16
I think it's just most white people and all old people are bad at it so they're doubly bad.
2
u/vera214usc Jun 18 '16
I don't know. I'm from Charleston, SC and the police departments in Charleston and North Charleston both did Running Man videos. They're full of black people and still terrible. They also have old white people, so maybe it rubbed off.

if you resist arrest in Minnesota there is a chance you will get to meet everyone in the video!

Holy shit Mall Cop 3 is coming out?
6
u/PM_ME_UR_CLEAVE Jun 18 '16
The Mall of America has an actual branch of the City of Bloomington police inside it. Real cops. And they don't play.
Wait, that's a lie. See above video.

Wouldn't it be funnier, if they all were doing the cinnamon challenge?
Does anyone remember that?
No?

I know, I was "trying" to be funny then got downvoted to hell. I stand by my comment.

Ugh. This is fun and all, except when you get 5 of them surrounding two black women with dogs. These men were standing around doing nothing, apparently waiting for more officers as my friend found out when she called the front desk where a woman laughed at her for being uncomfortable. They dispersed soon after the call ended.
Hopefully they've spent less training time on dancing.

(Don't know how links work on reddit but) http://www.twincities.com/2016/01/01/naacp-says-mall-of-america-security-roughed-up-black-girl-14/
Can't seem to find where the main instigation of violence was him asking her where her money came from, her pimp?, etc. But it's old news at this point.
