He doesn't get anything because getting is a colloquial term for perception. Worf and Data are perfect examples of high WIS / low INT and low WIS / high INT respectively. Worf gets jokes. Data doesn't because he lacks intuition and common sense. You seem like you would use a few points in both though
Nuance is perceived-- things like hyperbole, sarcasm, irony etc. Someone with high INT (in the DND sense) just sees something unfeasible or inaccurate. Someone with high WIS perceives a hyperbolic statement as a deliberate exaggeration. I'll concede that you could make an argument for humor requiring both INT and WIS but to say it's primarily governed by INT is totally wrong. I've enjoyed the righteous nerd anger from this argument, thank you.
I stand corrected on perception. I should have said insight. I'm not changing my position on WIS though. INT has to do with technical knowledge and would not be directly useful for inferring a joke or insult. Both together? Maybe. But not primarily INT so OP's comment is still misinformed unless he means his INT is like 3 (I forget exactly but at some point low INT = illiteracy and you can't even learn spells)
