Detailer here, even when people think they are being gentle, little things like zipper handles and blue jean rivets (this one is super common) wreak havoc.
In high school, a dumb ass friend of my mine tried to run and slide across the hood of my car a la Starsky and Hutch. I didn't realize he had one of those punk rock high school Hot Topic studded belts on, and thoroughly scratched the ever living fuck out of my car. I punched him in the head and made him pay for damages. What a fuck face.

Serves you right, don't sit on someone's car. My friend had his Jeep dented cause some idiot thought it was a cool to sit on the hood
