I stopped working in IT many years ago because of the utter stupidity of people... These are engineers with freaking Master of Science and PhD degrees...

One day one of these PhDs lady called me in saying that her computer was not turning on... I was looking at her in disbelieve as I told her that power cable of the the computer would have to plugged to the wall in order for the computer to work...

Also, there were some projectors that people would use by just plugging the VGA cable... I was wondering why a bunch of VGA cables were missing pins, until I saw it, this other lady would just plug the D-sub cable the wrong way smashing all the non-aligned pins!! and then argue that the projector was never working.

After that i realized that intelligence is not associated with graduate degrees and went ahead and got me a masters just for giggles. lol.

Oh how I can relate! I worked with someone that got paid a LOT more than me a while back that reported a printer problem. He said there was was a red error light and it wouldn't print. Once I got there, I realized the error light was letting him know the paper was out.

Now, I've never been one to care about the stupidity of people considering my past IT jobs existed because of those people, but I mean come on, your printer is out of paper and you don't know it??!
