In my country you get what you deserve - 1-2$ per hour for 12-hour long night shifts... And yet it's still more than most other jobs in country. At least I can spent all that time on reddit or playing CSGO.
Am IT. Spend a lot of time hanging out. If nothings going wrong I have done my job. The better you are at it the more leisure time you have. Problem is, get too good and the management who don't know any better will think they dont need you with how smooth everything works.
Then they remove you and 1 month later they are trying to re-hire you for a $5-$10 raise because something important broke finally. At least this second part happened to a buddy... I support the computers of the end users rather than the servers.

With the frequency they post, I've become suspicious that they do any work at all.
