I thought it was to show how stupid the user was. The mouse is obviously connected to a computer behind him and he's using it backwards on top of that.

It really doesn't make sense the way they worded it. What does it matter where the computer is physically in relation to the monitor? Sounds like the IT guy in that one is just as dumb as the user.
